Just curious about what you folks are using for settings on the Kind led 750xl K5??

I used one of kind lights. It is the smallest one. But the price is not low.
Compared with MarsHydro, i like Mars more as the price is much better.
Mars is doing giveaway on their website for their newest light.

I'm running a Kind Led 750xl. This is my 3rd grow, and first time using this light on seedlings. I was noticing a fair amount of stretching and was curious what intensities others were using. I've got it set at 30/60/60 and about 33"-36" from the canopy. It was a toss up between increasing intensities (which is the direction I went) or lowering the light. I can post some pics later as I'm at work right now.

...yeah, i would try moving the light closer, 30 inchs is a long way.

...try holding the back of your hand under the light, if your hand can take it then it's not too hot for your plants.

...i would also say that your light is way overkill for seedlings which will germinate and grow for the first couple 3 weeks under nothing more than a clip light with a single 27watt CFL.

...here's a couple pics of my cloning/seed start cab which doesn't have clip lights because it was purpose built but it is running a form of CFL called a P-LL, anyway, what you see here is a couple bins with some seed starts (i sow my beans directly into 9oz cups of moist coco and i tape another, clear cup up top as a temporary humidity dome) and note that there is no light above the starts, all they get is reflected light from below.

    DSCI0028.jpg

...here you can see i remove the 'humidity dome' as soon as the seedling emerges from the coco and sheds it's shell.

    DSCI0033.jpg

...and a closer look at the P-LL's. (these are 55watts each btw and further details can be found in the build thread linked in my signature)

    DSCI1754smll.jpg

...anyway, my point was that a less powerful light moved to within a few inchs of your seedlings should help limit the stretch.

...also, another factor that impacts stretch will be the Kelvin temperature of the light so with CFLs you'd be wanting to use 6500K or thereabouts, if you were to use say a 2700K bulb the light it emits is much redder and will promote stretchy growth.

    ...hope this helps.

This is what I'm against right now. From what I've read on Kind website and others, this light should be fine for seedlings as you can control the intensities across the 3 spectrums of light it emits. I had them set to 15/30/30 for the 1st week above ground. I have since then increased the light intensities to 30/60/60 (which was 2/13/19 according to my notes). The Kind Led (as with all LEDs) doesn't create the heat that most lights create, so would i still have to worry about burning them if lowering the light??? The light is currently at 29" from the canopy. Should I go lower still???. Also what can I do to combat the stretching??? Can I bury them deeper when I transplant to my growing pots??? For future endeavors, I do plan on using a different seedling light. Lol. Thanks in advanced.

You can take a twist tie, wrap it around the stem and stick one end in the dirt to help support the weight on that long stem. Get a small fan to blow on them as well to help strengthen up the stem. You will probably want to drop that light a bit more maybe. Put your hand under the light palm faced down and if the light is uncomfortable for you it’s uncomfortable for your plants.

I have a small 2’ T5 light for my veg, and they love it. You can have the T5 rather inches away from the plants and not harm them

...at this stage stretching is common but it isn't really a concern because the first time you up pot into a larger pot you can bury that stem almost up to the first set of real leaves and roots will grow from that stem once buried.

...so almost all of that stem will be buried.
