    hi from France

    0 Not allowed!
Aged 55, living in Paris, but traveling frequently for work, I'm about to embark on this journey of growing pot. Living in a city in a country that has not legalized or even decriminalized, I will NOT be the French Mendo Dope!!!

I'm still gathering info, trying to educate myself

So far, I've only purchased autoflowering seeds from Barney's Farm in Amsterdam

    Here are some objectives:

I want to grow in a 3x3 tent with a LED. Looking at the Optic 4

    https://opticledgrowlights.com/produ...led-grow-light

I'm tempted to try coco coir but might end up starting with soil based on what I've read as far as noob-friendliness is concerned

I aim at being as organic as possible

I have zero experience in growing plants and will definitely start by following instructions very closely

    That's it for today

    thank you

Well come on in, to the forum.
Always Nice, to greet another new member, who has cannabis growing as a goal.

i suggest using a soilesss promix. I used to make my own basic substrate with peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and some coarse clean sand for drainage. If you have a hydroponic gardening centre nearby, you. Could certainly get plenty of first hand advice and suggestions.
Tents are great for their ability to retain things like Humidity and Odor, as well reflecting mostly all the light, back to your light loving plants.

Follow some of the Grow journals in the forum, for plenty of great ideas and advice.

Yeah, you have much goodness, to look forward to.

If you are in a condo or other big building I'm not sure if you could use the kitchen or bathroom exhaust vent for air extraction. Not sure of buildings vent duct sizes. I do know some condos have gas fireplaces that would work good since those exhaust ducts are big. Rest of everything else is keeping proper watering and feeding with good cleanliness to keep the plant from getting bugs or diseased.

There always is having regular seeds to get a male then let it breed with anything including an autoflower. I believe anything mixed with an auto results in auto seeds with more adventures having plenty of seeds. Whatever's right.

Trimming techniques can give you some bigger varieties at lower heights. Changing the light cycle so they start blooming before getting too high for the tent is the trick.

Since everything's illegal just blame it on me and I'll clear things up giving them better than exocet stuff to keep the rest grumbling about others being better than them
You stick a bunch of females together and don't want any problems? Good luck. They are going to mess you up.

thanks for the kind words and advice
I see many growers use rockwool. I don't want to use those as they are not recyclable or degradable
What would be the best alternative to rockwool to put the seeds in once they start germinating if I'm going to use coco coir or soil?
I saw this video of a guy mixing coco coir with perlite to put his seeds and thought it was interesting
Then there is peat pods like this one
    https://sweetseeds.es/shop/es/sustra...iffy&results=7
what are the pros and cons?
    thank you in advance

Disposal is something to consider. Travelling for work might mean you need to have a controlled watering system be it hydroponics or just a drip system.

I love rockwool, because when my plants are finished, I break them 4” rockwool cubes apart and flush them, goodbye...

It’s biodegradable. Nothing to harm the fish or aquatic life.
It sure beats trying to dispose, gallons of used soil.

I wouldn't depend on Rockwool being biodegradable. It is rock melted and spun into a fiberglass like cotton candy so......

    I just finished reading this.
Rockwool is not a natural material and is therefore not biodegradable.”

So what do they do with it, once used, in Holland?

Rocks and stones aren’t man made either....
