Mango And Marijuana- Make Your High Last Longer

Have a mango, dude,” my friend told me a few months ago as we sat around his apartment. “Why?,” I asked him. After looking at me for a few seconds with a blank expression on his face, my friend answered, “Dude, this will increase your high so much. Plus, mangos are really good for you.”

Over the years, I have heard many stories about fruits boosting highs; however, my friend’s statement completely shocked me. I felt compelled to research his claim. Studies have shown that mangos do boost marijuana users’ highs, as my friend stated. Every marijuana user should incorporate mangos into his or her diet.

Everyone knows that mangos are healthy. Mangos are loaded with vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and many more nutrients. These vitamins help people’s immune systems, regulate blood pressure, and provide healthy skin. Mangos are a delicious food to provide these benefits.

Marijuana users often get hungry after smoking. Often, people think of potato chips and cheeseburgers as the perfect food to munch out on. This could not be further from the truth. The cheap dollar menu items that people consume after using marijuana can have some serious health risks. On the other hand, mangos and other fruits provide a nutritious after-smoke meal. Fruits are refreshing, too.

Mangos boost not only one’s health but also one’s high. Everyone loves to boost his or her high, making mangos the perfect accessory for a marijuana user. Author Big Buddha states, “A chemical compound known as myrcene terpenes… can be found in cannabis and marijuana as well as many other various plants such as lemon grass, hops, and, of course, mangos” (1).

Big Buddha claims, “Once ingested, the chemical compound, or myrcene terpenes, assist the psychoactive substance THC by allowing it to pass through the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) at much faster speeds with much more efficiency” (1). The speed and efficiency of absorption both affect the effects of marijuana. The faster the marijuana is absorbed, the higher the user will become.

Many marijuana users could have more positive experiences while smoking if they ate mangos beforehand. A nice boost to one’s high is always appreciated in the same manner as a nice, refreshing snack is always appreciated after smoking marijuana. The health benefits of eating fruit only add to an already positive experience. Next time you go to the grocery store, remember to buy some mangos for your next party.

If you really want to keep the buzz going, mangoes also make a good bloom tea!

I have read from one reputable resource that mango allows THC to pass through the blood brain barrier much faster. On average, it takes THC seven seconds to reach the brain after inhaling. But if you eat a mango — or a mango smoothie — 90 minutes before smoking, you could potentially halve that time.

Not too much is happening in that 3.5 seconds. Perhaps more coughing. I am not in that big of a hurry where 3.5 seconds is going to change my day. Thanks though. Intriguing to ponder.
