Hi I have split the main stem down the centre on my outdoor plant does anyone know if it affect the health of my plant or stress it to much as it is in preflower and if it will affect the yeild? any help would be greatly appreciated

I have had 5ft long branches split from the main stock, and all I had to do is tie them back up and tape the injury and all was good. The first time it happened it split where a topping split and 10 weeks was harvesting that very same branch. If you do this make sure get the split put all the way back together and be sure to use tape that will stretch (I use black electrical tape) that way when it grows it doesn't choke that part off.

Yeah what they all said and I'll add. Just keep an eye on it until it heals. It is an access point for bugs and mold. If it was at the soil line, I would protect it from moisture. Might want to support the plant with a stick.

Thank you all for the replies I pretty much did what mass had said to do and it went crazy about tripled in size and is a few weeks into flower now
